Towerborne is coming to Xbox Game Preview and Xbox Game Pass in 2025, a few months after Early Access, and with the release of this celebratory update, Stoic continues to refine the gameplay while taking input from a dedicated core community of dedicated founders from the start.

As we move toward the game's full release, players can expect updates to the core gameplay loop – improvements to the map, missions, and mastery – that will improve the game Towerborne even more appealing.

And with TowerborneWith the December update, festive fans can rejoice as the Clock Tower is ablaze with Christmas decor and ready to welcome Aces on seasonal adventures. Rainbow-colored smoke rises from the forge, gift boxes are stacked around the locations, and the characters even wear festive outfits for the occasion. Even some of your umbers make cute holiday appearances!
To embark on your grandeur adventure, make sure you have completed the main quest “A Writ of Passage”. You can then pick up the quest “A Grand Plan” from Ogden in the Belfry in the Counsel Building.
A great search full of depth and joy
Grandeur offers a unique experience Towerborneand offers a festive quest that not only offers addictive gameplay but also delves into the rich backgrounds of its characters. In this questline, players will assist Bumble, the Forge Overseer, in reviving his Christmas spirit while dealing with homesickness during the holiday season. Aces are tasked with escorting him to Aurora Ridge, a stunning new area with mesmerizing light displays, culminating in the Giant Mist Fire. Along the journey, players can hone their combat skills, earn rewards, and enjoy a narrative that combines meaningful character insights with dynamic gameplay.

Stoic, known for harmonizing gameplay and storytelling, presents Towerborne as a departure from the serious and dark tone of their acclaimed Banner Saga series. While Towerborne offers a more lively and cheerful atmosphere, continuing the tradition of encouraging players to interact with the world and its inhabitants to uncover deeper layers of the narrative. Themed challenges and gifts for everyone
During the event, Aces will experience various themed activities, all centered around the seasonal events inside and outside the Belfry. You'll have to protect travelers sent to deliver presents, light fog flares scattered across the map to spread Christmas cheer, and of course, defend the giant fog fire from festive gobo bombers (with brass bells) and snow howlers who will ruin your celebration want fun. And of course, the holidays wouldn't be complete without a few gifts, and Aces won't be disappointed.
The 12 Days of Greatness
Festive gear sets and treats will be available throughout the event, but players can also experience the 12 Days of Grandeur, an ongoing surprise activated daily by logging in. Each day offers players a unique holiday-themed sticker to collect, providing a fun way to express holiday cheer in-game by giving players something new and exciting to look forward to each day. Logging in to collect all 12 adds even more discovery and fun, making the event a lively and rewarding experience that keeps the holiday spirit alive (and also gives players ammunition to benevolently troll their ace counterparts).
Beyond the “12 Days of Grandeur,” the event features a variety of holiday-themed activities. Players can protect gift deliveries, light mistletoe torches, and face festive enemies like gobo bombers with brass bells and mistletoe-throwing snow howlers. These improvements make for fun, action-packed challenges while remaining true to the game Towerborne cooperative and combat-driven gameplay. Each activity fits seamlessly into the seasonal theme, offering exciting experiences and meaningful rewards that make Grandeur feel like a true in-game celebration.

Today's update also represents the game's biggest accessibility expansion yet, as it is now available in French, Italian, Latin American Spanish, Castilian Spanish, German, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Portuguese, Russian, Hungarian, Czech, Dutch, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese is available, Turkish, Japanese, Greek; with additional languages to follow.
