Geralt's voice actor Doug Coker previously claimed we wouldn't be playing the beloved wizard in the next game, but it turns out he might be wrong.
Earlier this year, Doug Cockle appeared in a YouTube video where he answered some questions about his career and, of course, the subject of the next Witcher game. The voice actor claimed at the time that while the character would be in the game, he wouldn't be a player character this time around, which does make sense considering this meant the beginning of a new saga. However, it turns out that Coker may not have all the facts. Coker appeared in a Geektown video (thanks to Polygon) to speak out about his claims, but then retracted them after being rebuked by developer CD Projekt Red.

“I did say something online about it, and then I got slapped in the face by CD Projekt,” the voice actor said in an interview about Geralt being unplayable. “I don't know the authenticity of this news. I'm refuting the rumor. I thought I saw someone from CD Projekt saying that Geralt will appear in The Witcher 4, but he won't be the protagonist. I don't think so either.” Now I actually know if this is true, because they came back and said, “We haven't released anything yet, don't say anything.” So The Witcher 4 is a complete mystery to me. ”
Coker also made it clear, “The truth is I can't answer that question because I've signed a nondisclosure agreement. So even if I did know, I'd have to lie to you.” When it comes to our expectations for the next Witcher game These recent comments have basically brought us back to square one when it comes to understanding, but I'm sure we'll find out in due course.
