Gotham's biggest problem now will be giving Superman a club-sized headache. In the first trailer for the fifth season of Max Original Harley QuinnThe titular Queen of Mischief (Kaley Cuoco) and Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) have left the dirty streets of Gotham and are making their way to Metropolis in a Batman/Superman mashup that's perfect for the start of 2025.
In the trailer, the worlds of Krypton's greatest detective and Krypton's greatest orphan merge, with Quinn taking center stage. asks Joker (Alan Tudyk). Superman To save the day, Bane (James Adomian) wages war against AI robots in Metropolis, and they all stand in the way of the evil plan hatched by Superman villain Brainiac (Stephen Fry). According to Max's season synopsis, “Upon arriving in Metropolis, Harley and Ivy discover that something sinister is at play,” and they may view Lex Luthor (Giancarlo Esposito) and his sister Lena Luthor (Aisha Tyler) as threats to Brainiac.
This season is scheduled to premiere on January 16, 2025, after Harley Quinn's part of the DC Animated Universe expanded this year with its first spin-off series. Kite Man: Hell yeah! The show features the comedic, endearingly unhappy character who am Harley Quinnwas the title character's ex-fiancé and is voiced by him Fresh off the boat's Matt Oberg. In a November interview with ScreenRant, Executive producer and writer Dean Lorey hinted at another possible offshoot of what he calls the Harleyverse:
“Well, I’m totally into the Harleyverse. I hope to announce a show in the Harleyverse soon, which I’m very excited about.”
I honestly wouldn't mind if King Shark (Ron Funches) was a lovable giant who gets out of trouble by hacking into something with a computer chip and maybe taking over the royal duties of his underwater kingdom. Or we could wash the stain away Joker: Folie à Deux That left something in our eyes when Alan Tudyk had his own show as a murderous con man. Regardless of whether these spin-offs happen or not, it's good to know that we won't have to wait long until the center of the Harley universe returns and serves us up to murder with a smile again.
