If you often look at your phone for too long while sitting in the passenger seat of your car, motion sickness is probably not an uncommon problem for you. For some people, this will happen as soon as they try to use their phone.
But that could soon be a thing of the past. Android Authority reports that Google is working on a motion sickness mode for Android phones and tablets.
With the new motion sickness mode, or “Motion Cues” as it's supposedly called, you'll see multiple dots on your Android device's screen. The dots are animated and will move in the same direction as the car you are in.
You will then be able to continue using your mobile phone or tablet as usual while Motion Cues is activated, as the dots are not too intrusive. The new mode is similar to the Vehicle Motion Cues feature introduced by Apple in iOS 18.
Android Authority discovered the Motion Cues feature after digging through the Android app files. Google itself has yet to mention this feature, so it's unclear when, or even if, the company will launch it.
However, given that Apple's version is already available, it would make sense for it to come to Android in the near future.
