Current goal: Start from the beginning!

By 2015 I had worked my way quite far into it The Witcher 3only to find that I was lost. I didn't know what was going on. I barely understood the universe, let alone my sloppy knowledge of mechanics. So I restarted the game from the beginning with the intention of going through it nice and slowly, and lo and behold, it became one of my favorite games of the 2010s.

Now, on the cusp of 2025, I find myself in a similar situation with the GOTY-nominated RPG Metaphor: ReFantasia. Whether it was because I was in a, um… elation, or just because the game is so hard – a little to In my opinion it's the fantasy political story, I'm a little too lost at this point to understand what's going on. But I know I've been intrigued by this game since I decided to temporarily put it on hold Forbidden West and I knew I had to watch it again.

So my goal for this weekend is a new beginning! I'm really excited to get started with Metaphor's Metaphor Topics. I'm particularly fascinated by how the game plays with the way fiction serves as important inspiration and a way to imagine a better world. And I'm a fan of turn-based combat. The game is also visually eye-catching. So if I'm still having trouble keeping up with the plot, at least I'll have something pretty to look at. –Claire Jackson
