The Game Awards 2024 are barely over when everyone's attention turns to next year, when the awards ceremony will of course take place again.
Within a very short time, The Game Awards in December have established themselves in the event calendar for PC and video games and have become the most important awards ceremony in the industry. In addition, a number of new games are always presented there and presented for the first time, this year including Elden Ring Nightreign, The Witcher IV and the latest project from the Last of Us makers at Naughty Dog.
As soon as the event is over, the organizers around journalist Geoff Keighley are already looking ahead to the coming year. Then of course The Game Awards 2025 will take place again – and the date for this has already been set.
At the end of this year's broadcast, Keighley announced that The Game Awards 2025 will take place in the new year on December 11, 2025 – a little earlier than this year. Even then, not only will the best games of 2025 be honored, but announcements can also be expected.
The awards ceremony itself, which will again be streamed, will take place again at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.
