New NOMAD bands for the Apple Watch Ultra

We tested the new Rocky Point Band bracelets from Nomad, with a sporty design ideal for the Apple Watch Ultra and Made with premium materials including titanium to close the strap.

As with cases, there's plenty of life beyond Apple when looking for accessories for its products. And Nomad is one of those brands that always stands out because its products have fantastic designs combined with premium materials and very high quality finisheseven when we talk about sports bracelets. The new Rocky Points are a perfect example, with five colors available (black, green, blue, black and orange in limited edition), and with the metal elements available in natural titanium and black titanium, just like the Apple Watch Ultra. It is not common to find bracelets with titanium in their metal elements, but Nomad wants to make a difference here. In addition to Apple Watch Ultra, it also works with normal models (44/45/49 mm)

The strap itself is made of FKM, a synthetic fluorinated rubber which, thanks to its manufacturing process, has high resistance to temperatures, water and chemicalsthe durability of the strap is therefore guaranteed. These are more rigid bracelets than Apple's, but that does not mean a reduction in comfort. Nomad has opted for a more conventional closure, with the excess strap on the outside of the wrist, unlike Apple models where the excess strap is inserted on the inside. A bracelet of this material and thickness would not be comfortable with Apple's design. In addition, the closure is large, which combines perfectly with a watch of the design and size of the Apple Watch Ultra. The titanium metal buckle added to the closure gives it an even sportier look, and includes a discreet Nomad logo.

You can see the quality in the details, and there is no shortage of detail in these straps. Inside the strap we find a striped pattern which means that if we wet the strap, water can dry more quickly, just like sweat, and thus we will avoid possible skin irritations due to humidity. Another important detail is the strap fits the Apple Watch Ultra, which is as soft as the original straps. Inserting the band into the slots of the Apple Watch requires no force, and once in place it can only be removed by pressing the corresponding button on the Apple Watch, so there is no risk that it comes loose with movements, which would mean the fall and almost certain breakage of the Apple Watch. We can be calm.
