An already busy career

Now it's not just Christopher Nolan, but Sir Christopher Nolan. The director told the English press that this honor was really great and did not hide his joy at meeting the king. “It was nice to see that he knew our work, and yes, he hoped I would find it an encouragement to do it for others” he said. His wife, for her part, confessed: “I've never dreamed of anything like this“. His role is often forgotten because it is less well known, but Dame Emma Thomas is the producer of all of the director's films.from Following, the trailer (1998) to the last classic Oppenheimer (2023).

The royal family also communicated on this topic with a post on X (formerly Twitter). In particular, we can read the congratulations on the work of both spouses. “Rise, Sir Christopher Nolan and Lady Emma Thomas! Congratulations to everyone honored during this investiture ceremony. The pair were knighted for their exceptional contribution to cinema, with their collaboration notably producing major blockbusters such as The Dark Knight trilogy and Oppenheimer“, we can read. You should know that Charles III is a born film fan. At a young age he immersed himself in the world of theater, cinema and comedies. He is often invited to previews, most recently for “Gladiator 22” with Ridley Scott and Denzel Washington. He even took the time to greet all the actors and actresses of the film who were present in the room.

What future does Nolan have?

The 54-year-old British director doesn't want to rest after the international success of his film “Oppenheimer”. In fact, two productions are already planned for 2026. The first will be an adaptation of The Prisoner series, while the second is still unknown, although the release date is already set for July 15, 2026. The faces are almost all familiar, including Matt Damon, Charlize Theron, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and Tom Holland. A casting that heralds a great, enticing film.
