Battinson as Batman in the new DCU? We have an answer
Will James Gunn and Peter Safran be able to offer Warner Bros. Pictures a real DCU? The mission promises to be complicated, but the Guardians of the Galaxy father seems to have a clear idea of the things that need to be implemented. Many projects are already in development, such as Batman Brave and the Bold. A film based on the comic by Grant Morrison and which, unless there is a change in the coming months, will be directed by Andy Muschietti. The filmmaker of The Flash and It.
In an interview with Radio TU, Andy Muschietti spoke about the Dark Knight, who will appear in Batman Brave and the Bold, and his statement destroys the hopes of some fans. No, it won't be Battinson, i.e. Robert Pattinson, who will star in Matt Reeves' “The Batman 2”. The new Bat in the DCU will be the one seen in Creature Commandos, which can be seen in the image below and appears to be inspired by the design of The Dark Returns.
« As everyone knows, the Batman introduced in The Brave and the Bold will be part of the new DC Universe. It's obvious that Matt Reeves' Batman is not part of this new universe » he explained. « […] The next [The Brave and the Bold] won't see the light of day for some time. Releasing two films at the same time would be counterproductive. DC is developing strategies to ensure that these two films do not conflict with each other » he added. If James Gunn once mistook Robert Pattinson for the vigilante of Gotham in the DCU, that won't happen. But the actor is still associated with the Batman trilogy.
