Civilization 7 unveils a new feature that should delight newcomers and veterans of the saga alike. We'll explain everything to you.
The publication of Civilization 7 is scheduled for February 11th and fans' anticipation is at its peak. To add pressure, developers continue to reveal new features in their development diary. Latest announcement: a new progression system that promises to change the way players approach every game. With tailored rewards and redesigned mechanics, this new work promises to be even more addictive than ever before.
A progression system that changes everything for Civilization 7
One of Civilization 7's big new features, called the Legends System, aims to reward players in the long term. No more isolated games. From now on, your achievements will be accumulated across multiple campaigns “paths” or progression paths. These paths function like quests and offer different objectives, from the role of a specific leader to historical exploits, such as discovering electricity with Benjamin Franklin.
The idea is simple: make each session worthwhile and encourage players to try different approaches. By structuring the massive campaigns into more accessible stages, this system also makes the game less intimidating for newcomers.
Rewards that suit everyone
The developers didn't stop there. To add depth to this new system, Civilization 7 introduces two main types of rewards: cosmetics et the memorabilia.
- cosmetics : They allow you to personalize your Player carda profile card visible in the main menu and multiplayer mode. On this card you can display your achievements using badges, banners or titles. The goal? Proudly show off your achievements and stand out in multiplayer lobbies. A simple and effective way to reward players who love collecting.
- The memorabilia : These rewards go even further. Unlike cosmetics, memorabilia has a direct impact on gameplay. These are special items that you can equip to your leader before the game begins. Each leader can carry up to two mementos, which provide unique bonuses. There are more than 100 of them unlocked, enough to encourage innovative and diverse strategies.
With this mix of long-term progression and personalized rewards, Civilization 7 is aimed at all profiles. Do you like to show off your successes? That's what cosmetics are for. Would you rather optimize your games and gain efficiency? The memorabilia will meet your expectations. These two systems complement each other perfectly and promise to make every game more memorable. The big day is February 11th.
