Sony has finally revealed details about the PlayStation 5 that not only die-hard technology fans can do with. On the contrary, this time there is something literally tangible, because now we know what the controller will be like that you will hold in your hand as soon as you are allowed to gamble.
Sony frees itself from the previous naming of the DualShock. The PS5 controller is called DualSense. With its predecessors, the DualSense actually only has the general button layout in common, apart from that, the device is hardly recognizable and is now based more on the design of the Xbox controller. The model shown combines the colors black and white, with the latter surprisingly dominating proportionally. The touchpad returns, as does the blue lighting. However, this now emerges from the top and no longer at the back of the controller. The times when the DualShock sparkle is reflected in the TV should be history.

The Share button on the left is now called the Create button, but apart from that it has the same function as before, namely the sharing of screenshots and clips. The DualSense is also equipped with a built-in microphone and longer battery life. However, this plus has not yet been quantified. According to Sony, this final form of the controller is now being delivered to developers worldwide.
According to Jim Ryan, President of Sony Interative Entertainment, this radical design change is intended to illustrate the leap that PlayStation 5 is making compared to its predecessor. It is worth mentioning that in his statement he continues to adhere to the console launch for the Christmas season 2020.
