Final Fantasy VII Remake on PS4 will cause a sensation from March 03, 2020, but fans of the much-anticipated title may be able to lend a hand beforehand. According to a new leak, Square Enix is planning to release a playable demo in advance.
The source of this new rumor is the website Gamstat, which reads the API of the PlayStation Store and informs about all new additions. This also includes content that is prepared in the background for the appearance in the PlayStation Store, but is not yet publicly visible.

This is exactly where a playable demo of Final Fantasy VII Remake falls, which has not yet been officially confirmed by Square Enix and is not yet available in the PS Store, but is now the subject of initial preparations. If you believe the previous findings, which, given the readout of the official API of the PS Store, have a lot of weight, you will probably be able to play a sequence from the opening sequence of the original game. This was already playable on the E3 and the PAX West, so that the makers could have reworked something here to make the passage accessible to the general public. According to further information about the leak, the download could be around 10.2 GB.
The PlayStation Store also provides a second interesting rumor: In addition to the demo, the remake Patapon 2 Remastered, originally announced in 2017 and later largely disappearing, seems to be the release. The release was actually planned for 2018, but since the launch of the new edition, nothing has been heard from it – until now.
