Our pure giving up when Activision announced Pro Skater 3 + 4 for Switch for Switch unfortunately scored in light of news that the fourth entry would be subject to some beautiful seismic changes.

In short, as confirmed I city (Thanks, Push the square), Pro Skater 4 Skater 4 will not offer an original career mode, which means you can no longer freely wander and take challenges with your own pace. Instead, the challenges will function the same way as the previous three titles, which will give you a 2-minute time limit in which you will complete as much as possible.

As we understand, free mode will still be available, which means you can explore levels as long as you want, but the challenges will not offer together. So effectively, the Iron Galaxy programmer has “simplified” the experience to form a more cohesive package, making a jump with the THPS 3 to the THPS 4 a more noisy transition.

We don't like it. Provided, the first three games of Tony Hawka are fantastic and we are no doubt that the fourth entry will still be worth playing with the proposed changes, but for the heaven's level in that game were built With free roaming in mind. They just won't feel the same.

We will adhere to our full judgments until we play the game for the review in July, but this is a devastating blow to the original fans. We can only hope that Iron Galaxy and Activision will listen to fans and add a proper career mode to content that can be downloaded later.

Pro Skater 3 + 4 Tony Hawk will start on Nintendo Switch July 11, 2025.
