Blizzard believes that Devil IV is too easy, so they are already considering a significant increase in difficulty—something many players will likely agree with.
Is Diablo IV Too Easy?
Devil IV was one of the most anticipated releases of its time. Blizzard aimed to deliver a much more mature story than what was experienced in Diablo III, and it seems they succeeded.
It is true that in the early stages, the game offers an appropriate level of difficulty for players. However, once you enter the endgamethere comes a point where almost no boss can pose a real challenge.
Nightmare Dungeons and The Pit end up becoming a mere walk in the parkleading many players to abandon the game once they reach a high level. It seems Blizzard wants to ensure that every moment in Diablo IV remains a challengeregardless of your level in the season.
In a new developer videothey confirmed that players are leveling up too quickly and accessing the Paragon Board without needing to engage in a significant number of battles. Blizzard appears unhappy with this, so level progression will now be much slowerforcing players to go through a much tougher journey to gain experience.
It remains to be seen whether they will adjust boss difficulty as well or if they will simply delay players from reaching their full power. At the very least, the first 25 levels will be much harder to reachand as expected, the rarest items will become even more difficult to obtain.
What’s Next for Diablo IV?
The Vessel of Hatred season introduced a new character and also continued the game’s main storyline. Fortunately, the arrival of the Spiritborn class and Neyrelle’s story captivated millions of playerswho were delighted with this new expansion.
However, many also criticized the fact that the main story continued as paid contentsomething that, understandably, not everyone appreciated.
We’ll see how the game evolves. Devil IV has already gone through several seasons, and one thing is clear—Blizzard remains focused on listening to players to deliver the best possible experience.
For now, it’s evident that players will continue to enjoy many more adventuresalong with new content that will introduce more enemies, side storiesand perhaps even new playable characters in the future.
