Final Fantasy 7 Remake was released on April 10th, 2020 for PS4. In a video message to fans of FF7, a fairly clear indication has appeared that one Release of the remake for PC not much could stand in the way. To be on the safe side: Square Enix has not officially confirmed that it is actually happening.
Officially it says: Final Fantasy 7 remake is until April 10, 2021 PS4 exclusive. What happens after that is uncertain. However, many expect that the new edition, like the original, will ultimately also appear on the PC. A release on Xbox and next-gen consoles is also conceivable.
A clear indication
The possibility of a PC release is now confirmed by a detail in the video embedded below. At the bottom of the picture you can see the comment »Gameplay captured on PC«, in German »The gameplay was recorded on a PC«:
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is already running on a PC, which could be a clear indication that it also appears there. At least we can hardly imagine Square Enix dropping a hint like this without being aware of fan hopes.
While there is still no official announcement, at least the chances of a PC port from Final Fantasy 7 Remake are increasing. Let's wait and see – after all, what has been one of 23 years since the original FF7 was first released for the original Playstation.
