Today's video games are filled with many character models, props, weapons, cars and other items. For big budget games, all of this content may have some amazing visual art and yet we rarely take a break and really appreciate all this work. However, the museum, the bonus level at Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, lets you do that and other games require similar levels.

I just finished rebooting Modern Warfare 2 campaign and caught better than I expected. There are some great performances in the game and the fight feels intense and intense. They looked beautiful. But when I was done, the show loaded the museum, something I had forgotten until the moment it appeared in front of me.

“Oops! I miss this !! ”

The museum at Modern Warfare 2 it is made up of three large rooms. Inside these rooms are various exhibitions based on levels from the game. Each show has characters and enemies from that level, who count as living wax figures. Each also includes sounds and signals from level. There are also exhibitions that showcase all the cars and planes in the game and include a few replicas of some of the larger level spaces. It made me feel like Godzilla was wandering around in mini-Tokyo.

I was never 18 back when the show first came out and I remember arguing with the museum for the longest time of the day. Now, in 2020 and 11 years later (oh god, how could that be?) I was reminded of the time I spent running the museum. And it's as cool today as it was then. In fact, it might have been cool even today back then.

Now, I know better how much work goes into all of this. And to see it revised is interesting. There is so much work put into so many things you don't even realize. Enemies have stakes in their rows. Guns have mud in their hands. The pieces have dry mud surfaces on them. In games, all of this information comes together to help create a virtual world, but it's impossible to focus on any of them because you run around and shoot thousands of unnamed enemies as the game drags past that level.

But at the museum, I would slow down and grab a sniper and just look at things. Walking is about showing the museum how much work it takes to make a great, modern game. And it makes me wish more games had the same features.

I would like a large museum filled with everything from Red Redemption II. Or a large multi-story building filled with all property and items and characters from The World of War. I understand that making a museum like this is not easy, but I also think it's a great way to show people how much STUFF goes into a video game.

The Modern Warfare 2 the museum also has a few secrets, like certain buttons you just have to press if you are well equipped for a great fight. I recommend getting a hold that is small enough to turn the computer on the head and look for a dog you can find in a museum. Trust me.
