Apple apparently plans major changes for iPados. The first indications indicate more functions.
In the future, iPads could receive more Mac-like features.
Apple equips its iPads, especially the Pro models, with rather strong hardware – but the software can hardly keep up. Many Apple fans complain that iPados does not exhaust the potential of the devices. New rumors now awaken hope: In the future, the iPad could become significantly more versatile – and finally do what the hardware promises.
Like the blog Macrumors reports, the Apple expert Mark Gurman reveals in the latest Bloomberg-Newsletterwhich aspects are likely to be optimized. The main focus is on functions to promote productivity. This includes, for example, better multitasking and more options to manage several windows at the same time.
iPad becomes the Mac
According to Gurman's information, iPads should become “more about a Mac” – but without copying the MacOS operating system directly. However, Gurman did not reveal exactly what the changes could look like.
We will find out exactly what the new iPad operating system will look like on June 9th – then Apple is expected to present its upcoming operating systems on the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), including iOS 19.
