Riot's new multiplayer shooter Valorant has just started beta, and there is already the first information about new content – specifically about the next map. There are currently three maps available in the game, but developer Riot has already provided information on the fourth map – and there are also exciting leaks on Reddit.
The new Valorant card should be called "Ascend" and lead us to Venice. At least that's what Datfriner UlfricTheThird says in his Reddit post, in which he describes that in addition to the name "Ascend" he also found references to Italy as a new playground. He would have explicitly found information about a "canal", "gondolas" and a "boat shop", he also discovered level objects such as a pizza box, as well as lanterns, as can also be found in Venice.
Also the layout of the new map UlfricTheThird has already discovered. It is currently not possible to confirm whether this is actually the structure of the official new Valorant card.
Nevertheless, the leak looks realistic, because with all its nooks and crannies, paths and obstacles, the map is reminiscent of the first three Valorant maps. Just take a look at the outline for yourself:
Riot also provides pointers to the Venice map
The fact that Valorant will soon lead us to the city of love seems particularly obvious because the developers of Riot has already released some teasers on the new card to have.
At the beginning of March there was a short clip on Valorant's official Twitter channel, in which "Project A" was announced. Obviously it is something that is playing in Venice and a new map with the appropriate "Project A" name "Ascend" fits perfectly into the picture.

We also get to see the Venetian channel from the short video on the official homepage of Valorant in the background. In addition, the Twitter clip already indicates a rough release date for the new map.
Accordingly, the new card is expected to come out in summer 2020. Since we are currently only in April, it will probably take a few weeks until "Project A" alias the new map "Ascend" finds its way into the game.
