Alleged plans for the Resident Evil 4 remake?
Resident Evil 4 is said to be newly set up by the development studio M-Two from Osaka. They already worked on the recently released remake of Resident Evil 3 and consist of former members of Platinum Games and Capcom.
According to rumors, the studio has been preparing for this project since 2018, but has only recently received the green light for it. In addition, Shinji Mikami – Game Director of the original Resident Evil 4 – approved the remake. The release is planned for 2022.

Is that likely?
After the new editions of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 have already enjoyed great success, it would only be logical that Capcom should continue its remake trip.
At least the console version of the fourth part is also the game in the series with the highest ratings on Metacritic. The versions for the Gamecube and the Playstation 2 from 2005 come on one Average of 96/100 points.
PC gamers may not remember the title quite as well. Because the port at that time was anything but exemplary. Not only was the graphics much worse than on the consoles, the developer also decided not to simple things like mouse support. Although attempts were made to address these problems with the 2011 HD edition, it was not quite as successful.
