It wasn't until the end of March that you were able to test more than 40 games for free during a game festival on Steam that have not yet been released. It continues in June 2020: Then starts the summer version of the new digital event.
According to the announcement on the official website of Steam, the festival should give you the opportunity to get in touch with the developers and limited trial versions to try their currently unpublished titles.

What is behind the games festival on Steam?
The game festival was 2019 by industry insider and game awards presenter Geoff Keighley launched. The aim was to allow every user to take part in game fairs without having to travel long distances. At the first event, you were able to test a total of 13 games.
Then on March 18, 2020, the second edition followed and the announcement that the Games festival take place more often becomes. This promise is now being put into practice with the summer version. It can be assumed that the event will take place every three months. However, this has not been confirmed.
Keighley talks about the latest event on Twitter. According to him, the festival should not only be on the PC, but in the future other platforms also take place. The summer variant is also only a first preview of future events. However, he does not say what else he plans.
