The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has finally arrived, and with it, could well launch a new super-cliente trend phones.
Not that I am sure that someone really asked, any change on the smartphones market is welcome to keep things fresh. I like the idea of the Galaxy S25 Edge in various ways, but I can't help thinking that Samsung has missed a trick.
To put it simply, the Galaxy S25 edge should have been without port. Let me explain why …
A really useful first world
To begin with, as well as the new design, it would have created more interest and beaten media around the device. He would have been the first phone without port to arrive on the market (the Meizu Zero had neither ports, speakers or even buttons but was canceled).
I am against the technological brands that do things just to be “the first in the world” or that, but I really think it would have been more than a simple title for good.
Without USB-C port, it is possible that the S25 edge could have been even thinner than 5.8 mm.

This could also have released a crucial internal space for a larger battery. The capacity of the 3900mAh battery is much lower than the average, so the longevity of the phone is a real concern.
Samsung could have gone even further and drop the SIM card tray to make an additional space for the battery – although the world may not be ready for Esim only.
In addition, the USB-C port and other accessories on the lower edge of the S25 edge are outside the center and it does not look very pretty. A style without port would be so clean and unique.

The load is not even very fast anyway, which makes me even less disturbed to have a USB-C port. Samsung limited it to only 25 W (despite calling it “super fast”), which is far behind the S25 + and S25 Ultra at 45W, not to mention the much faster rivals.
Let us not forget that Samsung does not provide a load brick. I charge my phone via a wireless thread of 90 percent of the time anyway, but the speeds of 15 W qi will quickly become frustrating.
Samsung was bold enough with the S25 Edge design, and even if I applaud it for doing something different, I just want it to have gone further to create something really provocative and new in the world of phones. As it is, it is a slightly interesting device, but nothing more.
