Fortnite wants keep updating and giving new resources and incentives your players to keep the community active. So, since Epic Games have announced that Chapter 2 of the second season of the title will extend beyond April 30. this year, previously scheduled date to close it.
Thus, we will have updates of this chapter until June 4, at which time the third season will arrive. In this way they have expressed it from Epic itself:
We are extending Fortnite chapter 2 – Season 2 beyond the original date of April 30. Our plan is to release Chapter 2 – Season 3 on June 4. Before that, there is a ton of content in the current season. We have several game updates on the way that will give us a new gameplay, new challenges, bonus XP and a couple more surprises up our sleeve!
