This quest sends you to Kvatch to start your search for Martin, but progress very quickly in another question when you discover your first door.
As you will learn, this will lead to the next two remastered quests for forgetting that make up most of this special section of the game.

Head to Kvatch
The first main step in this quest is to head to Kvatch, which will be Martin. More specifically, it will be located in the chapel of Akatosh inside Kvatch, but this location will change after having finished the siege of KVACTH – a quest required to finish the heir.
As such, Martin will not follow you as long as you have not erased the city of Kvatch and you return it safe.
Once you arrive in Kvatch – via a quick or manually trip – you will notice that the whole atmosphere of the region will turn into red and orange hell, with embers falling all around you.
Depending on how you have arrived, you will talk to different characters. For example, if you travel quickly directly to Kvatch, an NPC called Hirtel will end and warn you of what has happened, but if you end up reaching Kvatch near its front door, you speak rather to Savlian Matius.
Although you do not get any contribution to responding to the initial dialogue of Matius, once finished and you get a range of subjects to discuss, selecting the “Help” option will allow you to offer to help close the door.
He will then ask you to confirm if you can help yourself. Whether you can undertake this now or later, it depends on you, but if you choose to help, he will go to the door of forgetting – in the end, you will have to do it before Martin leaves Kvatch.
During this process, whether Martin or Matius, you may have some quest updates at that time – as it stands, you cannot progress the heir to the next quest.
In this spirit, be sure to finish the breakdown of the Kvatch headquarters first, then you can return to Martin – who moves to another place once this other quest is finished – and complete the search for the heir, as we discuss below.
Where to find Martin after Kvatch headquarters
Finding the heir is ultimately a rather short quest which consists in going to Kvatch and finding Martin, but to finish it fully, you will have to beat the siege of Kvatch.
After closing the Kvatch Oblivion Gate and achieved all the objectives in the aforementioned quest, you can now find Martin who will now join you after crossing a path to the chapel.
To find Martin, it will be either in the chapel of Akatosh – forcing you to speak to him just after having finished the conditional quest – or he is in a camp at the bottom of the main city of Kvatch, where the quick travel marker will load you (if you do not speak to him immediately after having finished the previous quest).
At the head, I had a particular problem where Martin and the group heading towards the camp from the chapel ended up stuck on a set of rocks in the area outside the forgetfulness of Kvatch. To solve this problem, I quickly went to the priory of Weynon and back, then Martin appeared as planned in the camp outside Kvatch.
Once this is all done, you will want to go to Weynon Priory. When you arrive, Eronor Courtra to talk to you, and after this conversation, you will receive the quest “Weynon Priory”, will launch a new set of steps and completely complete the heir.
