Epic Games has announced that Fortnite's Chapter 2 Season 2 will not end on April 30th as originally planned, but will be extended by approximately one month. This also means that Season 3 no longer starts in May, but now receives June 4 as a new start date.
But that doesn't mean that you should push boredom until then or that you won't be provided with new content. As Epic Games confirms, there are still some game updates in the pipeline that should be released during the current season. This includes fresh gameplay, new challenges, bonus XP and some surprises not specified.
Reasons for the extension have not been given, the content of Season 3 may simply not be finished or may have been delayed by the Corona crisis. Apart from that, Season 1 also got a shift last year, back then even two months.
