Group of Google Play wants to make it easier for parents to find the best content for their kids, with the best app and games for their age, and to date the new category is a quality sign: badge for kids apps.
The The toy store begins to replace the family tab introduced five years ago with a new tab Children, a new category with with content adopted by children. Of course, the category is currently only available in the United States with the promise of in the coming months it will reach many countries.
Teacher approved
Google Play is partnering with education professionals and teachers rating apps and games that meet quality standards. That high quality content will be available "Teacher Approval".
For a new badge, features such as the app is age appropriate, experience quality, enrichment and fun will be taken into account. Details of why the content was scored so high will be included in each program description.
With the new "Kids" tab and the new badge, parents will now be able to easily find out if the app is right for their kids. This category allows filtering by age and category.
