Eight teams, 14 match days, more than 30,000 euros in prize money – that's the Rainbow Six: Siege GSA League 2020. The new e-Sports League under the patronage of Ubisoft replaces the well-known GSA Nationals and brings the best RS: Siege players from Germany, Austria and Switzerland to a virtual table .
Open to everyone: The Open Qualifiers of the GSA League 2020
A total of eight teams kick in one closed league system with first and second round and subsequent playoffs against each other to find the best RS: Siege team in the DACH region. The highlight: While Ubisoft invites six teams directly to the league, two teams can qualify for regular league games as part of the so-called Open Qualifiers.
Teams from Germany, Austria and Switzerland can now take part in the official GSA League website register for a total of four qualifier games. These matches work on a best-of-one principle. The dates for the qualifier matches, which take place at 6 p.m. German time, are:
The eight best teams from these qualifiers reach the qualifier playoffs, in which two finalists are determined via best-of-three matches. The latter then receive the two remaining places in the GSA League. The qualifier playoffs will take place on May 3, 2020 at 3 p.m.
According to Ubisoft, the chosen point system of qualifiers should ensure that the individual results of the played matches play a role in the tournament tree in addition to the win-loss ratio. The organizers want to reward consistency.

Ubisoft wants to promote Rainbow Six: Siege in the DACH region with the GSA League, which is why the organizer also wants to integrate the league into the shooter's regional and international e-sports program. All games in the league are broadcast live and free of charge on Twitch.
