Hi everyone
I'm so excited to talk to you today Little Hope, the next game in An Anthology of Black Photography, will be available this Summer for the Xbox One. As you may know An Anthology of Black Photography a series of sharp cinematic horror games. Each game is played with one player or two multiplayer modes – Online dual-player mode for Play Player and up to 5 movie mode for Night Movie mode players. As in every sport, everyone can live, and everyone can die. It's all up to you!
We were happy with the response we had to make Medan's husband, the first play in the anthology, released in 2019. It was so much fun to hear in the Xbox community as it was the first time our single game had appeared in your area.
All games in between An Anthology of Black Photography different independent stories, too Little Hope very different from Medan's husband. Previously you were scared of a ghost ship in the South Pacific – now you would be shocked by the deserted city and the mysterious fog!
So, what can I tell you? Little Hope? Let's go with the story and prepare it first. Left alone and alone after their bus collided in bad weather, four college students and their teacher are busy in the town of Little Hope. Trapped in a mysterious fog, they desperately seek a way to escape while the frightening visions of the past chase them into the shadows. After witnessing the city's tragic past, and the horrific events of the 17thth Trials of the Century Witch, hellish creatures chase them relentlessly. They have to figure out the motivation for these apparitions before the evil forces at work pull their souls to hell!
As each play in the series is so different, so are our inspirations. The cinematic and literary influences in the game include “The Witch,” “Season of Witch,” and “Blair Witch” but people will see other strong influences such as “Hellbound Heart,” “Hellraiser,” and other works such as Barker. Also, two of my personal favorites are "Follow" and "The Omen." Interestingly, our studio is just a stone from the Guildford Cathedral that appears firmly in Richard Donner's 1976 section.
The actors and actresses are so important to our plays, so I'm really excited that we have Will Poulter to lead the talented young cast of Little Hope. He is a great actor and has really bought into Andrew's character.
As well as the story, set and stream we've been focusing on some new features based on feedback from the Black Photography community. For example, the team has installed critical content icons for the communications and QTE alerts that tell players when one person arrives and the action they need to take. We've added a floating camera to other parts of the game to allow you to take full control of your spooky surroundings.
So, there you go. I hope you enjoyed this introduction. We are waiting for you to enter the city Little Hope this summer!
