For many it is just some lame beating, for others it is one of the most eagerly awaited sequels of the past 25 years: Streets of Rage 4. Today French publisher Dotemu has announced the release date for the sidescroll controller. After a long wait, things suddenly go very quickly.
Already on April 30 – and thus in just under two weeks – the brawl for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and the PC will be available for download for 24.99 euros. You can take apart a lot of street thugs with different combos, throws and special moves alone, locally with up to four people or online in a duo.
In addition, there will also be a battle mode, in which up to four players compete against each other alone or in a team. Another highlight for fans is the retro content: well-known characters from the three predecessors can be played in the pixel look and, if desired, the action is accompanied by the original soundtracks from Streets of Rage and Streets of Rage II.
