The complete revision of Final Fantasy VII in the form of a remake has already paid off for Square Enix. Shortly after the release, you can already announce that you have reached a famous sales brand within the first three days after the launch.
Square Enix confirmed in a press release today that Final Fantasy VII remake only took three days from the release on April 10 to break the mark of an incredible 3.5 million copies sold. The value includes sales of the physical retail version as well as digital versions. However, it is underlined that the title – probably also in view of the current exit restrictions – achieved above all "exceptionally high digital sales". To date, these have increased significantly, but official surveys are still pending.
Final Fantsay VII Remake takes you into a world where the opaque Shinra Corporation controls the life force of the planet. Cloud Strife, a former member of the SOLDIER elite unit and now a mercenary, helps a resistance group called Avalanchen fight Shinra's oppressive power. The JRPG classic was really redesigned from scratch with modern technology for the new edition and is currently available for the PS4.
There is also a playable demo for the Sony home console with the first chapter of the full version.
