Publisher Soesco has announced that Monstrum, a well-reviewed heavyweight horror game on Steam, is coming to a switch on 22nd May.
Combining the deadly deer driven by AI, permadeath and the process-generated world, Monstrum aims to create a "terrible re-playable horror experience". As we mentioned above, users have been singing their songs on Steam since launching back in 2015, giving it an excellent rating.
It sounds like a good time story; combo insulting combo and no saving points means once you've been killed, you'll have to start scanning. Here is the official description and feature list:
Stranded by an abandoned cargo ship, you find yourself hunted down by one of Monstrum's formidable hunters; each with their own strengths, abilities, and weaknesses. You will have to use your wits more than it works for you within the sailing environment as you search for an escape route. Death is eternal; kill it and you'll be starting again. Can you survive Monstrum?
Features:
● Survive in a changing environment with the beast with each new game
● Use whatever you can to get rid of monsters and escape the ship
● Hide, distract, and run, but be careful not to fall into too many traps
● Death is permanent. Try to stay alive or you'll have to start all over again
As mentioned earlier this week, the program for the game – and any other upcoming releases from Soesesco – is temporarily delayed due to a global crisis. As it is, the game will only be available at the beginning.
