The fight against cheaters in Rainbow Six: Siege becomes a top priority because there are more and more player reports about fraudsters. Ubisoft announced this in a recent blog post. As can be read there, the number of reported “lobby freezes” in particular has increased. By this is meant that players intentionally manipulate the game to create an interruption. In this way, they want to gain unfair advantages.
What is Ubisoft doing against the cheaters?
In the post, Ubisoft presented some of the measures that should help with the cheater problem in the short term.
More collaboration with BattlEye: Through a closer connection between Rainbow Six: Siege and the anti-cheat system, cheaters should be recognized, localized and banned more quickly. For this purpose there will be "more data exchange" with BattlEye.
Increasing requirements for Ranked: In order to make illegitimate accounts more difficult to access the ranked games, Ubisoft wants to increase the requirements for them. This also applies to the champion rank. Exact numbers have not yet been given, but they will soon follow in their own update.

It remains to be seen how well these measures against cheaters will work and whether this will noticeably change the gaming experience: As long as Ubisoft does not give exact numbers for level cap and the higher requirements for ranked games, it is unclear whether normal players will be restricted as well.
On Rainbow Six: There are victories, by the way just neat discount: The standard version is now available in Ubistore for 8 instead of 20 euros. For the Deluxe Edition you are currently paying only 10 instead of the usual 30 euros. Throughout April, Ubisoft is launching various discounts on its best-known brands.
Not only cheaters are currently causing frustration in the community. The current changes to the popular operator hunter also cause displeasure and heated discussions.
