YouTube user Benoit Tranchet has created some fun 2D animations based on the classic RPG, releasing it on the platform as the latest series was released – The temptations of Mana remake – comes to Change. The idea was to make a classic 2D cinema like the one you would find alongside real-time games, and boy it is liberating.
Tranchet says, "My goal has been to create a contender for the Mana Beast. Ever since I started playing that game in the mid-90s, I've been a huge fan of everything, from the first step to the positive conclusion."
Unfortunately, if you feel the emotions of the Mana player after watching this, we definitely recommend picking up a new game on the switch. Here is a summary of our full review:
Mana's trials prove themselves to be an effective revival of the lost class, cleverly utilizing new constructions and content when necessary while maintaining the true atmosphere. The multi-faceted storylines, the exciting combat system and the ever-changing character of characters combine to make this a fun experience from start to finish, even if the occasional performance issues hinder the feeling somehow.
