In an age when multiple old games are reviving through remakes, it is impossible not to remember the iconic saga Silent Hill, which was buried after the cancellation of Silent Hills in 2015. However, in recent years various reports have emerged that speculate on the possible return of the franchise, and recently another source provided information in this regard.

According to the portal Rely on Horror, Konami and Sony are developing two new projects of Silent Hill. The first would be a reboot in which some of the people who gave life to the first titles of the franchise would be involved, such as Keiichiro Toyama (director and writer of the first Silent Hill), Akira Yamaoka (composer of the saga) and Masahiro Ito (character designer).

Furthermore, the project would have the participation of Sony Japan Studio, specifically with the team responsible for Siren: Blood Curse, a survival horror which launched in 2008 on the PlayStation 3. They certainly have enough experience with the horror genre. The source indicates that this title has been in development for approximately one year. Masahiro Ito himself confirmed in January that he was already working on a new game, so the tracks keep coming together.

The second game that would see the light is Silent Hills, formerly led by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro. However, Rely on Horror He has made it clear that, while the console manufacturer is doing everything possible to make it happen, it has not yet closed the agreement with Konami for this title. It is important to emphasize that Sony has not acquired the intellectual property of Silent Hill; It is a joint work between both companies.

Obviously, the fact that Sony is directly involved makes us think that both proposals would be part of the exclusive catalog of the PlayStation 5. Being unofficial information, it is best to take it easy and wait for a pronouncement from the two companies. Everything indicates that Sony will release more details and features of its new console in the coming months.
