Participating in raids from home was one of the objectives that Niantic I had marked for Pokémon GO at the end of March. The team has devised a formula to adapt their Augmented Reality game to confinement measures, and one of the most anticipated has finally arrived. Indeed, You can now participate in Raids from the sofa in your living room with the novelties that have just landed in the title of pocket monsters.
It has been through the official account of the game on Twitter as they have reported this addition. The implementation of this mechanic will be done gradually, as usual. Thus, Level 40 coaches will be the first to be able to participate in the raids with the Remote Raid Passes. Thus, they will join any nearby, although in these there will be a limit for the total number of players who can participate remotely.
Remote Raid Passes are now available in the in-game shop! With a Remote Raid Pass, you’ll be able to join any Raid Battles you can see on the Nearby screen or tap on the map! Learn more: https://t.co/yNGqNxaupL #PokemonGO pic.twitter.com/vZj8ObH54a

Of course, remote raids will count the same as normal raids in overcoming special daily investigation missions. It is also important to underline that, right now, remote coaches will fight with the same level of power. However, in the future, their power will be reduced by being away from combat. Niantic wants to keep this mechanic to make things easier in the future, although it doesn't want the gaming experience to be broken.
This novelty, and others such as new research tasks, obtaining gifts through the Pokémon companion and much more, are what the company itself collects in the Pokémon GO official blog. Coaches we have it easier every time to enjoy this game, even when confined.
