Electronic Arts and Google They have announced a deal whereby the company's first games will be available on Stadia soon, starting with a first batch of three titles that will go on sale in the cloud service later this year.
The official announcement talks about five video games Electronic Arts that will join the Google Stadia catalog, but so far only three titles have transcended: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, FIFA and Madden NFL. The first is said to arrive at the end of the year, while the other two will launch next winter.
Notably it has not been specified which installments of the two sports games will be published in Stadia, but taking into account the date of incorporation into the catalog everything seems to indicate that they will be the deliveries of next year (2021) that have not yet been officially announced.
The other two Electronic Arts video games that will arrive at Stadia are still a mystery, but both companies have clarified that they will not be the only ones and that there will be more EA games to be added to the Stadia catalog throughout 2021.
Both companies define the collaboration as "exciting"
"The cloud is opening new and exciting possibilities to play," he said. Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, in a statement accompanying this announcement: "In collaboration with Google Stadia we have the opportunity to launch some innovative and creative gaming experiences on an exciting new platform," he said.
For his part Phil Harrison, GM and Google Vice President, has assured to feel excited about this new collaboration agreement: "We are excited to see some of the greatest successes of Electronic Arts in Stadia. I can not wait to play FIFA, Madden NFL and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on my favorite screens at the touch of a button, "Harrison explained in a natural commercial tone.
We remember that Google Stadia started recently a new initiative for which it gives two months of subscription to both new and already subscribed users to help cope with confinement due to coronavirus.
