Rumors of a more powerful model of the Switch have been around for a while, but so far there has been no official announcement from Nintendo. Nevertheless, an analyst continues to expect a Switch Pro in 2020.

In the past, there were several rumors about a more powerful variant of the successful console Switch. Often, it was assumed that Nintendo 2019 would release a cheaper handheld version of the Switch alongside this legendary Switch Pro. At least half of it turned out to be true: the low-cost Switch Lite was released last year. But what about the Switch Pro?
According to analyst Dr. Serkan Toto from Kantan Games has this firmly planned at Nintendo and will appear in the new year 2020. "In my opinion, there is absolutely no doubt that Nintendo will release a Switch Pro in 2020. My tip is that it will cost $ 399," Toto said confidently.
He further predicts that this Switch Pro will then also have 4K support, larger cartridges and noticeably more powerful components. According to the analyst, a release can be expected after the summer holidays – also because Nintendo does not stand idly by in the next-gen race of PS5 and Xbox Series X and wants to publish its own new platform. Accompanying this, there will also be a new first-party game from Nintendo, which should act as a "system seller". The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is bound to come to mind.
With regard to the Switch, Toto continues to predict that Nintendo will further expand its cooperation with Microsoft and that additional Xbox games will also find their way onto the Switch. However, he is rather skeptical about launching the Project xCloud cloud gaming service on the Nintendo console.
Is the analyst right with his forecast? In any case, last year, in retrospect, he frequently hit the mark with his forecasts for the new game year 2019. We should be thrilled.
