In order to continue to claim free games on the Epic Games Store, you will need to set up two-factor authentication.
of Epic Game Store Two-step verification is now required to request free games from the store.
From now until May 21st, Epic stated that it will periodically request two-factor verification before applying for free gifts.
This change was made to encourage users to "take steps to enhance the security of their Epic account."
If you did not enable the two factors, to set it up, go to Epic Games account settings. After setting, every time you log in with a password, you will receive a security code that can be used in a short time, similar to Steam Guard and other two-factor methods.
Then, the security code will be sent to you using the verification method you selected in your account settings. Epic noted that you must verify the email address used to set up your Epic Games account before you can enable two-factor authentication.
You can find how to set this added security feature in the link.
Currently, the free game in the store is For the King. It will be replaced by "Amnesia: Dark Descendants and Land of Collapse" tomorrow, April 30.
