Nintendo may not hold Direct format in June – News

Direct, format, Hold, June, news, Nintendo

The information comes to us again from VentureBeat, the same site which had correctly announced the dates of the Nintendo Direct and Indie Showcase of March 18 and 26. Precisely, this is a rumor around a next Direct which ultimately may not take place in June as is normally the case. While some publishers like Ubisoft have confirmed that they will keep their own format around the week when E3 should have been held (i.e. between June 7 and 11), others, like Bethesda, shirk and reserve their announcements later. According to VentureBeat, this would ultimately also be the case at Nintendo.

The publisher would have started organizing its Direct and even started to assemble its partner development studios. Only, with its recent reorganization in telework, Nintendo would be forced like many others to adjust its calendar and to postpone its Direct from June to later. With the recent releases of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and very soon remaster in the Definitive Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles, its calendar for the second half of the year remains particularly vague today.

No doubt we will have news during the summer, because as the journalist points out Jeff Grubb, the absence of Direct in June would not prevent Nintendo from making announcements in another way. It is that there is a rather important anniversary to celebrate, this year …
