As you enter your subconscious mind through the nature of Alice in the Wonderland world, you will face your child's deepest fears. The player will have to deal with heavy air, manage tension, pressure and will have to accept occasional danger. Will you be prepared to deal with what is hiding in the darkest corners of your mind?
Do you know the Freudian theory? In Internal Friend and the stranger that cometh in to thee shall be a stranger in thy sight. This frustrating anonymity forces you to explore and pass on your own to reach the next steps. But it also forces you to face your fears, making you see powerful themes you would like to bury. In addition, the play is inspired by another idea of Carl Jung called the "inner child" which is based on the idea that we are all children and that the child lives in us. Internal Friend it will bring you back to your memories and make you remember your childhood, make you face your fears and overcome them over and over again.
As levels pass, your deepest fears will re-emerge, whether it's fear of hair loss as a child, fear of school or fear of rejection and much more. You will have to earn Shadow's trust to unlock new challenges and pieces of the story. Also, rebuilding a safe Shadow won't be easy, you'll need to save him from his darkest fears and collect all the art of writing to do so.
