The original version of "Star Wars Battlefront" in 2004 received an update today, which added online multiplayer game support.
You read it right. The original "Star Wars Battlefront" game, which began in 2004, was updated on May 1, 2020, and provides a fully functional online multiplayer server. Check out the official (ridiculous) announcement on Steam.
The official statement said: "Online multiplayer games on Steam have been added to the game." The update also made other changes to the game, including the addition of language support for French, Italian, German and Spanish.
At least it can be said that this is a strange update. It has been 16 years since the first launch of "Star Wars Frontline" and a full year since the last official patch. If you look at the Steam version of the Battlefront Classic page, you will find that it's a) sits fairly, with an average user score of 10/10, and b) the current discount is 50%.
However, there is one very lovely thing about this update: In a more tragic news, "Star Wars Battlefront 2" (DICE launched in 2017, not the original 2005) recently received the latest content update, so everything seems to be It has been successfully concluded. Things are over, things start.
