The coming weeks will be punctuated by the Souvenir Challenge on Pokémon GO. This Challenge highlights the different generations of Pokémon one by one and it all starts with the 1st generation and the Kanto region! Without further ado, let's review this event and see together how to make the most of it, especially in this particular period.
What will happen this week
- Until evening of May 8, you have 9 sets of 3 quests to accomplish which will make it possible to recover a lot of super interesting things. We will come back to this one by one but you can count for example on 10 Super Bonbons, a TC, a Piece of star, and especially a lot of meetings with rare 1st generation Pokémon! At the end of your 9 quest lines, you win a meeting with the best Pokémon in the game: Mewtwo and its Psychic Strike attack.
- A bunch of first generation Pokémon appear more often in nature. These are Bulbizarre, Salameche, Carapuce, Parasect, Mimitoss, Psykokwak, Caninos, Arcanin, Ptitard, Abra, Chetiflor, Tentacool, Racaillou, Fantominus, Leveinard, Hypotrempe, Stari, Magicarpe, Lokhlass, Evoli and Minidraco. Among those there are many who can be either Shiny (Note that Mimitoss has just unlocked its chromatic version with this event) be interesting in Raids or PVP. We will come back. As a bonus, collectors will appreciate the addition of a cute Pikachu with a charizard bonet !
- 9 Pokémon species appear more often in 7 km eggs. Remember that because of the current pandemic, the 7 km eggs only take 3.5 km to hatch! Here, we find Mimitoss, Machoc, Onix, Excelangue, Saquedeneu, Insecateur, Scarabrute, Lokhlass and Évoli!
- The list is a bit long, but be aware that Kanto's Pokémon are also invading the raids ! We recommend the site Leek duck which permanently lists all the raid bosses currently in play. Here, don't forget the recent arrival of remote raid passes ! We explain everything in a full article around this question.
- L'XP is multiplied by 2, whether it is when you catch a Pokémon, when you come to the end of a raid or when you hatch an egg.

Field study missions
In addition to these special missions, there is another list of missions: field studies. As you know, these missions are always there regardless of current events, but on an exceptional week, exceptional studies. This week's list is long enough and in our opinion not interesting enough to be fully detailed.
Having said that, we would still like to point out one point. All field study missions allow meet Pokémon. And during the next week of events, the Capture Star Dust will double. So make these missions quite simple and keep the rewards aside for the next week !
Two quests allow you to collect Pokémon already evolved which allow you to gain even more dust if you transfer them at the right time. These quests are:
Also think that these quests can be used to achieve a specific mission like "catching such a Pokémon" for example. In any case, do not collect the reward as soon as the mission is completed: it would be a mess.
Our tips
- We haven't spoken yet XP, but note that using a lucky egg can be very interesting, even if you are already level 40. We know that level 50 will soon be implemented, and an event that multiplies XP at all levels like this is quite rare. Think about it if you get into a 5 star remote raid for example !
- The more developers add new Pokémon, the rarer the first generation Pokémon. It can then be interesting to collect as many candies as possible using Nanana berries on rare or useful Pokémon in raids as in PVP. Here is the 12 Pokémon we recommend the most : Bulbizarre, Salamèche, Ptitard, Lokhlass, Leveinard, Magicarpe, Évoli, Machoc, Scarabrute, Ronflex, Insécateur and Minidraco.
- For eggs, the regulars already know our famous "sock technique". For others, we let you discover it! That being said, don't spend too much time on it, they are not that interesting.
- Right now, there are Darkrai and Ronflex in the raids. Do not miss it, these Pokémon are extremely powerful in addition to being very rare. And you can never have too many because you can always keep them aside and transfer them against a lot of dust in a few days. So take advantage of remote raids!
