Nothing lasts forever – and that applies to video game hardware. Sooner or later, our beloved hearts will fail and we will face the prospect of chasing them or spending money to repair ourselves. Like any other consumer product, console games have a lifetime – and so should not indeed surprised or annoyed when we see the old system thrown into the trash or used as the door.
But wait now! We're Nintendo fans, aren't we? When we see a piece of game history being abused or abused, we can't help but be moved by the emotion. And that's exactly what happened in the case of this photo, which shows a proud GameCube being used as (electricity!) ashtray:
This photo – apparently four years old – recently seen online and caused many toothache. "Who used the GameCube ashtray is disgusting," said one Facebook user. "This is a relief," said another.
While it's probably a good thing for the person who took this photo to find the purpose of their flawed GameCube – thus saving it from trash – maybe they'd have taken the (more modest) door option instead.
