Paramount Pictures revived the franchise in 2018 with Bumblebee, a movie that recovered from Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon's low stats. It's been a few years now, and thanks to the good reviews the last movie received, fans expect a sequel so you can keep seeing your favorite Transformers characters in action.
According DeadlineRecently, Paramount Pictures has officially released that they are working on a new movie based on the Trnasformers universe. At the moment it is not known what it will be, since there are apparently two projects in progress with the company. One would be animated with a spin-off story of the Transformers where they become animal shapes «Beast Wars», and would be written by James Vanderbilt. On the other hand, another of the things that could reach cinemas, would be the Bumblebee sequel written by Joby Harold.
It is not yet known exactly which of these two projects is in production, but most likely they are working on the Bumblebee sequel, as it would be the expected movie of the franchise. However, Paramount has revealed the date of the film, which is set to be released June 24, 2022.
