Years ago, Electronic Arts ignored E3 and held its own event the weekend before. Baptized as EA Play It consisted of a couple of days in which fans and the press could test beforehand the games that would arrive months later on the market, in addition to a series of trailers and announcements related to those and more games. The company has already announced the final date on which the EA Play Live 2020. He has done so through his official Twitter account.
While it is true that EA is not going through its best moment, games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order have given hope to a company that accumulated many releases that passed without penalty or glory among fans, beyond the exaggerated annual sales from sagas like FIFA. Major studios like Bioware are questioned, while DICE seems to have exhausted fans' patience with Battlefield V. EA Sports keeps thinking how resuscitating the NBA franchise and FIFA is not at its best.
It is time for EA to demonstrate the quality of its studies and this EA Play may be the best time to do it, especially with the new generation just around the corner. As we can see in the tweet, the EA Play 2020 will take place on June 12 at 1 a.m. (Spanish time)
