Of course, given that during the PS2 era (remember it was released in 2000) the use of USB was less widespread, the bad part is that its sponsors have an affiliate link. Fortunately very cheap adapter adapters, and will allow us to spend most of your PC money by connecting it to a USB port.
How to use PS2 parameters on your PC
There are many parameters made by SONY for this console: from controls to an EyeToy camera, with a remote to control multimedia playback or Guitar Hero guitars. Understandably, today you no longer use the PS2, but you have a PC, still you can give your foundations a new life.
PS2 controllers on PC
The process is very simple: simply connect the adapter to the PC and allow Windows to find and install the drivers automatically. When you're done, uninstall it, connect the PS2 controller to the adapter and reconnect it to the USB port from the PC. The controller may not work first, but luckily there is a page on Github that has PS2 drivers for Windows 10 running completely (we've checked it out).
Of course this controller won't work on PC and Xbox or PS4, but if you had a cupboard without using it, you can now give yourself a new life without having to buy a new controller and very little money.
EyeToy, PS2 webcam also works
In this case, an EyeToy camera from the PS2 I already have a USB connection it was also connected to the back of the console, so you'll be much easier if you want to use it on your PC. Of course, once you connect it to your PC you'll see that the operating system doesn't get it (in theory, multiple distributions of Linux and even MacOS They do, but Windows doesn't), so you'll have to look for drivers. Well, we're making things easy for you, here are EyeToy drivers running Windows 10 and 8.1.
Multimedia controller
One of the reasons the PS2 sold so well is because it can also work as DVD player (and at that time they were very expensive). SONY worked on this performance by selling a separate PS2 DVD remote controller that allowed the console to be used to watch DVD movies from the comforts of the living room.
For this command to work on the PC you will need the same adapter which uses the PS2 controller; just control the dongle that comes with the remote control on the adapter and voila. In this case, for some reason it works without any problems on Windows unless you install with a specific driver.
Guitar Hero / Rock Band songs
Few PS2 users will ever play Guitar Hero (or one of its many variants) on popular guitars. If you want to use them on PC you can also easily, because with PS2 technology (and on PC) they are just like a standard PS2 controller. In other words, you'll need the same thing to use a standard console command: a USB adapter and a very high command driver.
