IKEA blinds

We've talked long and hard about TRADFRI products at IKEA, which are designed to make our lives easier to say thanks to different programs such as HomeKit or Amazon Alexa. However, one of the most exciting releases of recent months, IKEA smart curtains, is not compatible with Apple HomeKit, though both companies, Sweden and North America, work closely to offer facilities to their customers. Now IKEA's list of smart curtains and blinds is getting an update that complies with HomeKit, Do you already have some of these? We show you how they work.

As you can see, Gadget News partners were already testing the blind while it was working with Alexa and Google Assistant. The good news for users who came to purchase it from the previous ones, is finally compatible with HomeKit. The first thing to note is that in order to get to work on these apps it is absolutely necessary to have an IKEA connection blog (which usually costs around € 20), because otherwise you can't directly control it, only with RF control included in the package. The advantage they have now is to integrate with HomeKit precisely that you can integrate into your automation.

The first thing you will need to update is the app and the connection blog in the latest version and it will now automatically allow you to integrate these curtains with Apple HomeKit. My experience of using these IKEA smart curtains is excellent, They work great and make your life a lot easier, but of course, I've never tried integrating with HomeKit so in the coming weeks we'll be taking a closer look to see what the results end up in, do you find it interesting?
