Vanilluxe was inspired by Ghostbusters for its Pokémon form

The inspiration for create different Pokémon is very different, depending if it is a creature like Mawile or if it is something with a more adorable body like Phantump. Today, we learned that Vanilluxe is inspired by the Ghostbusters Marshmallow Man as indicated DrLavaYT on Twitter.

It also seems that its original creator, James Turner, was inspired by the joint form of Weezing

to create this iconic Pokémon ice cream. The truth is that there doesn't seem to be too many details of the Mashmallow Man Ghostbusters in this Pokémon, except for its color and its face of good friends.

Vanilluxe Origins:

According to its creator @ JamesTurner_42, Vanilluxe was partly inspired by Weezing, but is mostly based on the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters. James noted that the movie takes place in New York – which was the inspiration for the Unova region. pic.twitter.com/wv9EV0oBve
