star Wars a universe with thousands of characters, planets, ships and aliens. And yet, many, many star Wars games seem to focus on or include only one part of the franchise. The Jedi. Those wildlife areas with lights of great power and power. I love a good Jedi game just like all the other Star Wars fans, but I'm also ready to play new games that don't include these guys with their laser swords.
Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Order it's a good game. I really liked it. I'm not even excited for the Soulsborne Games for all that, but I had a blast. I love Cal and his ragtag group of friends. I also like to customize the lights and the power supply. All good things.
But after watching the last episode of Counterfeit Recently, I've been wanting to play something like this and it's a little bit Order collapse. And my options for 2020 are limited, especially when we look at games released a few years ago. I'd go back and play that Bounty Hunter game, re-released on PS4. But it's sad and it worries me that I have to go back in time to find a single, story-driven, action-adventure game involving non-Jedi. Looks like we should have many more games!
Now, righteousness is star Wars, there are games with non-Jedi characters. I have said Bounty Hunter, but there is also Republic Commando, i The X-Wing and TIE Fighter games, The shadows of the Kingdom on the N64, with a number of strategy games and racing games. But all these games are old and some are not really big. (Looking at you Kingdom shadows ...)
Even though the games seem to focus on non-Jedi action or characters, the people with the lights still appear and perform magical jumps in the area. Like First Battlefield 2.
Before people explain me on Twitter or in the comments, I know the real answer to this question. It's the same reason that the Jedi always get their own games or always appear in games. The Jedi are a big part of movies, movies are what most people care about and a big part of them star Wars fans know better. Oh, and the headlights light up. And like, I get that. I do. I have flashlights for toys, I still make sounds when I immerse myself and I love watching lightning bolts from YouTube movies.
But then I can't shake the feeling star Wars games might be more interesting than they are right now by simply expanding the Jedi news and stories. Hell, if you want to make a game filled with lights and gravity, go for a game that features a Sith character. That Darth Maul match looked interesting.
What I would like is a game that doesn't even include one light. Game set underground star Wars. Doctor Aphra looks like the best of star Wars and carry on Unread either Tomb Raider. Or come down in a totally different way and make an Expresstale-style adventure game featuring a smuggler. While I was just crying and dreaming, I thought of something new Republic Commando
To be clear, I don't want a complete and endless run of Jedi games. I mean, I still want a Order collapse in another sequence. But considering how many we already have and how recently it has sounded like we can get games with the Jedi or not star Wars games at all, I can't help but dream about the future when we find it not only new Order collapse, but a game about a humorous droid murder with a mysterious old-fashioned hunter or smuggler.
A long time ago, in a non-Disney galaxy, it felt like we had variety and it was interesting star Wars games. But with EA it's basically the only company allowed to do big star Wars games, we get far fewer games than ever before and they all include the Jedi. Maybe one day, EA won't have the exclusive privilege of making Star Wars games and maybe I will new a game that feels like Counterfeit.
Until that time when I thought I'd just go back Republic Commando and.
Also, if anyone in EA, Disney or Lucasfilm is reading this right now, please don't let anything new star Wars a game that stars full hunter either ragtag team and cancel it every few years, and.
