They are passionate about all the characters and want each one to have their turn at the show. That is why we at NetRealm are so excited about Mortal Kombat 11: Behind. It will fulfill one of our biggest requests for our fans – a continuation of the Mortal Kombat 11 story that reflects our list of characters.
New chapters on the twisted narrative of Mortal Kombat 11's Death: Afterall allowed us to give Nightwolf, Fujin, and Sheva their biggest roles in any Mortal Kombat game thus far. We learn more about what draws him, from Fujin's devotion to the mortals of Earthrealm to Sevava's excessive loyalty to his wife, Sindel. This story also allows us to see these memorable warriors in action. Our cinematics team has dreamed up dozens of sequential pulse-pounding action sequences that utilize each person's signature skills.
As a movie, and we are very happy that Mortal Kombat 11: The post-war expansion has favored the beloved Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, making his triumphant return as Shanghai Tsung. Perfect as a witty witch. His installation allows us to skip one major item from the studio's integrated bucket list.
Mortal Kombat 11: After the battle it takes exactly where Mortal Kombat 11 ends. Liu Kang eliminates Chronika. He and Raiden are in the early hours, when they plan to use the Hourglass of Chronicles to restart history. But those arrangements were put off when some unexpected guests arrived – Fujin, Nightwolf, and Zhang Tsung.
Shanghai Tsung explains that they were prisoners of Chronika, released only from his death, and are about to stop Liu Kang from committing a fatal mistake. During Liu Kopanos's final battle with Chronicles, he destroyed the Crown. If it tries to restart history without it, both the Hourglass and the truth will be destroyed. All locations will be lost.
Liu Kanjanis the only solution? Sending Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, and Fujin back in the past to bring back the Crown before Chronika takes it again. It's a clever strategy that just works, if Liu Kang can prevent Shanghai Tsung from doubling him…
Another one benefit of the new story? Our environmental group created new sections for us. They are stepping up with a new take on Classical Dead Pool and Soul Chamber organizations, as well as a new section showcasing the Chronicle & # 39; s Keep. And then there's our fourth new category – RetroKade. Retrokade is a love letter to fans that has been with us since the early days of Mortal Kombat. It neatly combines the classic stages of the school game with our modern presentation. It's like someone opened a portal on NostalgiaRealm!
NetherRealm being NetherRealm, our journey to the past at Mortal Kombat doesn't end there. Somehow, our artists also found time to rebuild Stage Stalities. They are not available at all levels, so Fatalities remains a secret, for now. We hope you enjoyed finding them.
As well as the addition of the Stage of Death, our artists had another project they had that they wanted to complete – a return of friendship. They went all out to create some of the most fun, friendly content ever seen in Mortal Kombat. I have seen them all, and all of them have left me smiling!
But for all the new content in Mortal Kombat 11: In the background, I think that probably gives me a big smile to add the iconic RogCop to the game's iconic list. RoboCop has been a huge influence on the creative efforts of many here at NetherRealm. I don't think any of us think we will get a chance to grow his lore or collaborate with the great Peter Weller to bring back his RoboCop fans. Once we had that opportunity, we were determined to make the most of it.
Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will be available for pre-order on May 26.
