Treyarch's design director is wary of reintroducing jetpacks in the next Call of Duty.
next call-of-duty At least according to veteran designer David Vonderhaar, games don't bring back backpacks. Vonderhaar, who has been design director of Treyarch since 2004, was recently asked (probably jokingly) on Twitter to bring functionality back.

The advanced movement style introduced in Treyarch's Black Ops 3 is also a style used by Infinite Warfare, spawning a trend that has caused "call of duty" fans to shout during the "boots on the ground" period, leading to The return to World War II is of course the "Modern War."
In addition, it is interesting that Vonderhaar has something to say about the next Call of Duty. Recent reports indicate that the game is facing major troubles with two big studios, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Soft.
According to Kotaku, Treyarch was asked to step in and keep the rest so that the game can reach the 2020 launch target, but it's unclear whether Vonderhaar specifically refers to the project or whether it will follow Treyarch's own games.
